After about a year of research and another 6 months of product testing and prep work, Yippee! Cone Cake Co. is heeeere! Needless to say, we’re pretty pumped!
Hi, I'm Leilani Lowry, and I started Yippee! Cone Cake Company.
Have you ever heard of cone cakes*? They are cupcakes baked INSIDE ice cream cones. So yummy! My brothers and I grew up eating cone cakes for our birthday treat, instead of cupcakes. And now, cone cakes are my kids’ favorite dessert. However, there’s a problem with baking cone cakes: they fall over easily because they’re top heavy…and it’s REALLY annoying.
Problem, meet solution. We sell cone cake bases (patent pending): they’re inverted bake-safe cups with a cone-sized hole in them. Simply place the cones in the bases and the cones will not tip over! Ta-da! The bases can be used during baking, cooling, frosting, storing and transporting the cone cakes. They come in a variety of colors and are adorable!
If you’ve got an upcoming birthday in your family, or a school, sport or work event, bring cone cakes! With 6 colors to choose from, it’s easy to match your cone cakes to any theme. Instructions for baking are on the website, including our favorite flavor if you’re not sure where to start (in the FAQ section). We can’t wait to hear what you think!
Please feel free to email me anytime with questions or to share your cone cake experience. I’d love to hear from you! Leilani@yippeeconecakes.com
*Some refer to cone cakes as ice cream cone cupcakes, cup cones, or cake cones. My mother learned to bake cone cakes as a child, from the Betty Crocker Cook Book for Boys and Girls (1957) which calls them Ice Cream Cone Cakes. We shortened it to cone cakes.
